Wow. See, AIG wasn't content with merely paying people for meeting deadlines --a sure sign of a successful healthy company run by knowledgeable people is that you have to pay your employees more to do there fucking job. However, this morning there stupidity has finally been trumped by Freddie Mac/Fanny May (Freddie May for now on due to my sanity) is now paying top executives, probably the ones responsible for the mess Freddie May is in a million each TO STAY AND DRIVE THE COMPANY INTO THE RED FURTHER.
Great job, guys. Great job pissing away my hard earned tax money. Great job stealing from those who need it more. Companys really hurting who could use some help and do more with the money than just pay people and go on as usual. Mega bonuses, no change in the shoddy retarded business practices that got you where you are in the first place.
We've proven many things in the years politics has existed.
--Socialism/Communism doesn't work
--Laissez-faire works.
--Bailouts don't.
So...why did we give out money to these idiots and why haven't I heard reports of them doing better? Why are there no "We got all this money we're doing our best to fulfill the promises of change when we got it"?
That's it, I was merely skeptical of bailouts at first, hoping the good it would do would outweigh the negative message of "practice poor business, stay in it anyway". However: It's clear these companies will remain stupidly run and stupidly managed and the best way to deal with this is to let them mess up, figure out why, and change for the better or die. No more bailouts.
I'm telling you, these idiots don't know how to fish, quit feeding them so they learn!
Okay hopefully next post will be more positive.

Guitar Hero Metallica...doesn't suck!
I haven't made my views clear on Metallica on this blog or the other--that may change. Let me clarify: I haven't liked a Metallica album since The Black Album. I consider St. Anger garbage and Death Magnetic tantamount to long winded unwelcomed Nickleback. I refer to Metallica constantly as "Selloutica".
Needless to say I wasn't moved by anything other than indigestion upon news that Metallica was getting there own Guitar Hero game. I prayed everynight that it would fall under the same fate as Guitar Hero: Aerosmith: beloved by fans, hated and loathed by everyone else.
However Metallica has an ace up its sleeve: The best songs on this game AREN'T METALLICAS!!!
Kyuss-Demon Cleaner
Corossion of Conformity-Albatross
Motorhead-Ace of Spades (RERECORDED JUST FOR THIS!)
Why the hell aren't these songs on a REAL Guitar Hero game?
I'm going to write to the GH guys and request they don't save the good songs for lameassery such as this Lars Ulrich vanity project. I encourage you to do the same
Melvins, Sleep, Meshuggah, High on Fire and many more deserve to be on a Guitar Hero game more than Selloutica. Tell Guitar Hero next time they want to give the real metalheads some songs, DO IT ON THE REAL GAMES!!!
Why Bailouts Aren't Working!
AIG got billions in bailout money which they used to buy anything from Orange Amps to High School Musical (Blu Ray) all the way out to a cavalcade of unsanctioned substances and services.
Your money paid for there luxury. Good job tax payers. Congratulations. You rewarded top AIG executives for MEETING A DEADLINE. A deadline isn't something a good employee needs a bonus to meet. It's something they met or GET FIRED! If your employees don't meet deadlines or need bonuses too do such a task your problems ARE NOT GOING TO BE SOLVED BY GETTING MORE MONEY!
Common sense, is it so hard to find today? Is Capitalism dead? Laissez Faire a farce?
Here is the problem with bailouts: THEY DON'T SOLVE THEM.
They THROW MONEY AT THEM.
Throwing money at a problem doesn't solve it, IT ENABLES IT.
If the Gov't really really wants to help solve a problem in a company here is how you do it. You don't just throw money at it. You use the money smartly. Here is how I would do it.
First off, most people wouldn't ask for my kinda bailout because I would probably fire most of the executives who made bad business calls. I would promote/replace/hire proven successful businessmen to set the company straight.
Second: Teach companies to fish, do not feed them.
Question every investment, question every business practice. Figure out WHY they failed and how to fix it. If it isnt' fixable, see if the company cannot be sold to one that is.
Third, thought probably should be first: DONT LET GOVERNMENT CONTROL IT. I'd set up a bailout committee filled with proven sucessful businessmen who KNOW what they are doing. Give them a certain amount of money and let anyone crying "bailout" fall under there power and furthermore there budget. Let them take companys they think can still make it and make them PROFITABLE. Companys who may never recover thanks to long standing bad business practice SHOULD FAIL.
Doesn't this make sense? Of couse it does. Which is why the gov't is content to simply feed the problem instead of STOPING it.
